LHS = ( 3 + √2 )/( 3 - √2 )
= ( 3 + √2 )(3 + √2 ) /(√3 - 2 ) ( √3 + 2 )
= ( 3 + √2 )² / [ 3² - ( √2 )² ]
= ( 9 + 2 + 6√2 ) / ( 9 - 2 )
= ( 11 + 6√2 ) /7
Therefore ,
( 11 + 6√2 ) /7 = a + b √2
11/7 + 6√2 /7 = a + b √2
a = 11/2
b = 6/7

=(3+root2)*(3+root2)/(root3-2)*(root3+2)
=(3+root2)^2/[3^2-(root2)^2]
=(9+2+6root2)/7
=(11+6root2)/7
=(11+6root2)/7=a+b root2.
11/7+6 root2/7= a+b root2
a will be 11/2
and b will be 6/7
