Atomic masses of C=12g , H=1g, Cl=35g

1mole of CHCl3 =atomic mass of C+ atomic mass of H+3x atomic mass of Cl

  = 12+1+3(35)

  1mole of CHCl3 = 118g of CHCl3  -------(1)

1 mole of CHCl3 contain = 3 mole of Cl atoms

  1 mole of CHCl3 contain=6.022 x 1023molecules of CHCl3

Since,  1 moleule of CHCl3 contains= 3 atoms of Cl

  So, 1 mole of CHCl3 contain=[6.022 x 1023] x 3 atoms of Cl  ------------(2)

  From (1) and (2),

  118g of CHCl3 contain=  [6.022 x 1023] x 3 atoms of Cl

                                    [6.022 x 1023] x 3

   1g  of CHCl3 contain=  -----------------------   atoms of Cl

                                             118

                                          [6.022 x 1023] x3x 11.95

   11.95g of CHCl3 contain = ----------------------------------   atoms of Cl

                                                       118

   11.95g of CHCl3 contain = 1.83 x 1023atoms of Cl
