Question 3

( a ) [(\frac{3}{7})^4\times(\frac{3}{7})^5]/(\frac{3}{7})^7

=>[\frac{3}{7}]^{4+5}/(\frac{3}{7})^7

=>[\frac{3}{7}]^9/(\frac{3}{7})^7

=>[{\frac{3}{7}]^{9-7}

=>(\frac{3}{7})^2

ANSWER :

(\frac{3}{7})^2

( b ) [(\frac{7}{11})^5/(\frac{7}{11})^2]\times(\frac{7}{11})^2

=>[(\frac{7}{11})^{5-2}\times(\frac{7}{11})^2

=>(\frac{7}{11})^3\times(\frac{7}{11})^2

=>(\frac{7}{11})^{3+2}

=>(\frac{7}{11})^5

ANSWER :

(\frac{7}{11})^5

Question 4 :

(\frac{5}{3})^5\times(\frac{5}{3})^{11}=(\frac{5}{3})^{8x}

=>(\frac{5}{3})^{5+11}=(\frac{5}{3})^{8x}

=>(\frac{5}{3})^{16}=(\frac{5}{3})^{8x}

Comparing the roots we have :

8 x = 16

\implies x=\frac{16}{8}

\implies x=2
