Answer:

if √(18-6√5) = √a - √b , PT a+b = 18

squaring both sides

[√(18-6√5 ]² = (√a-√b)²

=> (18) - {6√5} = (a + b) - {2√ab}

=> (18) - {2√45} = (a+b) - {2√ab}

on comparing both sides,

we get a+b = 18
