Answer:

A. First of all, we would need the distance travelled by an object and the total time taken by the object to cover the distance. In simple, distance and time are mandatory for finding the speed of an object.

Especially, in a car, the speedometer gives us the speed of the vehicle but if we want to measure by hand, we would need a long measuring tape along with a stopwatch.

B. The Calculation of speed of an object is done by the following equation:

Speed = Distance/Time

The S.I unit of speed is metre per second (m/s) and the C.G.S unit is kilometre per hour (km/hr). No special symbols are required.

C. According to the question,

The Top speed of the lorry reaches 90 km/hr.

Its Average Speed measures 66 km/hr because it has not covered the distance of a town by keeping the speed of 90 km/hr. It has changed the speed therefore, the top speed reaches 90 km/hr whereas the average remains at 66 km/hr. In simple words, as it has changed it speed, the average speed becomes less than 90 km/hr.

Hope this helps.
