Answer:

here's the answer ....

given that voltage = 220v

current = 0.5 a..

resistance= voltage /current

R= 220/0.5

R= 440 is the answer..,

hope it's helps u.....

Given that, an electric bulb allows a current (I) of 0.5A and it is connected to a 220V power source.

We have to find the resistance (R) of an electric bulb.

Now,

The potential difference (V) across the ends of the wire is directly proportional to the current (I) flowing through that wire provide the temperature remains the same.

V ∝ I

V/I = constant (R)

From Ohm's law, we can say that

V = IR

Substitute the known values

→ 220 = 0.5 × R

→ 220/0.5 = R

→ 2200/5 = R

→ 440 = R

Therefore, the resistance of an electric bulb is 440Ω.
