Answer: 300cm²

so basically to find the shaded portion area, you find the area of rectangle and then subract it by the the area of the big triangle in the middle

length = 20

windth = 30

area of rectangle = l * b = 20 *30

                             = 600cm²

area of the triangle = 1/2 * b * h

                                = 1/2 * 30 * 20

                                = 300cm²

area of shaded portion = area of rectangle - area of triangle

                                      = 600 - 300

                                      = 300 cm²

Answer:

Shaded area=300

Step-by-step explanation:

Sides of rectangle A=30cm and B=20cm

First find the area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = A*B

= 30*20

=600cm^2

Now,

substract Area of trigle which is not shaded with rectangle area then we get shaded area

Area of triangle = (1/2)*Length*height

= (1/2)*30*20

= 300cm^2

Shaded area = Area of rectangle-Area of triangle

=600cm^2 - 300cm^2

300cm^2
