2 MTR length of shaded horizontal black part ×25 MTR width of the rectangle is equal to the area of the horizontal shaded part = 50 MTR

1.5 MTR width of shaded vertical black part × 15 MTR length of the rectangle = 22.5 MTR

So we have now two areas and we have to minus one square area as it is a crossroad

So 2 MTR length of shaded horizontal black part × 1.5 MTR length of the rectangle = 3 SQ.MTR

SO 50 MTR × 22.5 MTR - 3 SQ.MTR = 1122 SQ.MTR
