Answer:

first calculate Net resistance. It will come out to be 5/2. Hence total current will be 6 Amp. Now, current in required branch will be 1 Amp. I*R for all three branches should be same. Hence, current through AB=1 Amp. Potential difference=I*R=1*2=2V

current in that branch is 1 Amp.
