Since it's a parallelogram,

Opposite sides are equal

So PQ = RS and PS = QR ------eq(1)

Given,

PQ = 5x

PS = 47

RS = 25

QR = 3y-1

Substitute PQ,PS,RS and QR in eq(1),

PQ=RS

5x=25

x = 25/5

x = 5

And

PS=QR

47=3y-1

3y-1 = 47

3y = 48

y = 48/3

y = 16

Hence,x = 5 and y = 16
