adiazmina5a: Why x + 2 = 5

\huge\boxed{\huge\boxed{\huge\boxed{\bold{ANSWER:\ (3,\ 6)}}}}

(x+2,\ 4)=(5,\ y-2)

What we need to do is only to assume that x + 2 = 5 and y - 2 = 4.

Means to assume the x coordinates and y coordinates are equal to each other.

x + 2 = 5 ; x = 3

y - 2 = 4 ; y = 6

∴ (x, y) = (3, 6).

Hope this helps. ^_^

Thank you. :-))
