Let the no of boys be x and girls be y

x-y=334 .... eq1

x+y=572 .... Eq2

Add both equations

2x=906

x=453

Put x=453 in eq1

453-y=334

y=453-334

y=119

There are 119 girls in the class

2)

Let the length be x and breadth be y

x=3y

x-3y=0......eq1

Perimeter =2(x+y)

168=2x+2y

Divide by 2

x+y=84.......eq2

Subtract eq 1 from eq2

4y=84

y=21

Put y=21 in eq2

x+21=84

x=63

Length =63m

Breadth=21m
