VALUES COMES WITH ALL TAXES
NEW DELHI: Values and Morals were the key food fed to us by our parents. But the determination of whether to incorporate it into our lives is the crucial decision that a human being takes on its own. Nobody else determines our conscience except for ourselves. Truth is, we all are born with a gene of human values within and as we grow up, it reflects in our character more often.
I came across with such an incident lately with an old women sweeping streets for making a day's meal. And later came to know of her children doing very lavish in their lives abroad. Is it not a sign of a hollow culture that we keep clamouring so much about. The values, the culture that we so proudly speak of, is it not a mere exaggeration of the current hollowness of character in human beings.
Character has nothing to do with culture. Love has nothing to do with culture. A tender heart speaks all languages and human values are buried in human beings themselves. It is an inborn gene that connects us with empathy, kindness and sense of responsibility towards our near and dear ones. To sum up I would say, we should be more concerned to what's actually happening to our generation which bears hollow morals, zero empathy and more degrees. I hope everyone feed their children with enough love to overcome jealousy, hatred and selfishness in life.
