Given : Line A D is horizontal. Line B O comes out of line A D to form 2 right angles. Line C E intersect at point O.

To Find : Which angle is complementary to Angle C O D?

Angle A O B

Angle A O E

Angle B O C

Angle A O C

Solution:

Line A D is horizontal. Line B O comes out of line A D to form 2 right angles.

=> ∠AOB = ∠DOB = 90°

Line C E intersect at point O.

∠DOB = ∠BOC + ∠COD

=> ∠BOC + ∠COD  = 90°

Two angles are complementary if their measures add up to 90 degrees

Hence ∠BOC and  ∠COD  are complementary

=> ∠BOC  is  complementary to Angle ∠COD
