Answer:

`I=400 mA=(400)/(1000)=0.40 A,

" V=7 " volts"`

According to Ohm's `=V=IR

rArr  R=(V)/(I)=(7x10)/(4)=35/2Omega`

Answer:

The resistance of the conductor will be 20 Ω

Explanation :

From ohms law we know that resistance is the ratio of voltage to current. i.e.

Resistance = voltage/current

Voltage across the conductor = voltmeter reading = 5.8 v

Current flowing through the conductor = ammeter reading = 290 mA

= 290 x 10⁻³

= 0.29 A

Hence Resistance,

R = 5.8/0.29 = 20 Ω

Hence the resistance of the conductor will be 20 Ω
