4. I) We know, a straight line=180°. To find out x= 180°-45°= 135°

ii) Angle X= 40° (vertically opposite angles)

Angle y (or z whichever you choose)= 180-40= 140°.

Angle z (angle y if you choose z), = 140° (vertically opposite angles).

iii) in this case, we can see:

Angle on left hand side=90° (by the sign we can understand that)

Angle on RHS= 55°. 90+55= 145°.

x=180-145° = 35°

iv) z= 47+90= 137°. 180-137°= 43°

x= z=43° (vertically opposite angles)

y= 180-43°= 137°

v) I can't solve that without the value of x but for the others, z= x+40, y= x-10

vi) z= 180-60= 120°

x=60° (vertically opposite angles)
