(1). If x% of 75 = 9, then the value of x = ?

(2). If 60:48: : 35 : x , then the value of x = ?

Solution

For, first question.

➠ x% of 75 = 9.

➠ (x × 75)/100 = 9

➠ x = ( 9 × 100 )/75

divided by 25 of 100 and 75

➠x = (9 × 4)/3

divided by 3 of 9 and 3 .

➠ x = 3 × 4

➠ x = 12. [ Ans]

For, second question.

➠ 60 : 48: : 35 : x

➠ 60/48 = 35 / x

cross multiplication ,

➠ 60x = 48 × 35.

➠ x = (48 × 35 )/60

Divided by 12 of 48 and 60

➠ x = (4 × 35)/5

Divided by 5 of 35 and 5

➠ x = 4 × 7

➠ x = 28 [ Ans].
