Let the length of be l of wire 1

then the len of wire 2 would be 4l (according to question)

the area of wire 1 be a

the area of wire 2 be a/3

the by resistivity formula

p = rl/a

r = pl/a

put the values of len and area of wire 2 here

r = p*4l/a/3

r = 4pl*3/a

r = 12pl/a

by substituting the formula for resistance

r = pl/a

r = 12r

since r was 4.25 ohms

r = 4.25*12

r = 51 ohms
