Answer:

all done it at some point, just coasting along with our life. We fall into the trap of doing the same routines day in and day out, maybe even year in and year out. Things in our life start to fall away as we just watch it happen; relationships, work, health. Then at some point, you realize you’ve stopped moving forward. You’ve come to a stop.

Instead of doing anything about it, though, we spend time dreaming about the things that could make our life better (or blaming the past for how we got here). So you end up waiting for something, anything to get you moving again. But it’ not going to come on its own, and that just slows you down more.

I’ve fallen into the trap myself recently. I was feeling stressed by my life, and when a living situation change was forced upon me, I saw it as a chance to take some action. I left my job and packed up my life to move home with my parents. I was hoping to find more clarity and inspiration by reconnecting with my family, who I’ve lived apart from for over 15 years.

But I learned the hard way, new life paths don’t just appear. I’ve spent the last two months spinning in a funk.
