Initially A=q, B=0, C=0

A is touched to B and removed. A and B get equal charges.

A=q/2, B=q/2, C=0

A is touches to C and removed. A and C get equal charges.

A = q/4, B = q/2, C = q/4

As a quick check, you can add the charges.

q/4 + q/2 + q/4 = q

This is the original charge, which is what we expect from conservation of charge.

So final charge on A is q/4 = 0.25 q

whilst the unfavorable fee nears the sphere the electrons in the sphere retreat to the some distance side, leaving an excellent fee on the side of the sphere closest to the unfavorable rod. so as that they entice, as opposite expenses do. whilst they touch most of the electrons flow the sphere. Now they are the two unfavorable, and repel one yet another. This jogs my memory of a few dates i've got had.
