Number of ways = 8C2.
= 8!/2! * 6!
= 8 * 7 * 6 * 5 * 4 * 3 * 2/2 * 6 * 5 * 4 * 3 * 2
= 28.
Given that 3 points are collinear, so only 1 line is formed.
3C2 + 1.
3!/2!(3 - 2)!
3 * 2/2 * 1

Therefore the number of lines = 8C2 - 3C2 + 1
= 28 - 3 + 1
= 26.
