Answer

Power supplied to the circuit = 1.2 × 1000W + 200W + 60W + 60W

= 1200W + 200W + 60W + 60W = 1520W = 1.52kW

\colorbox{lighen} {Current in the refrigerator} = \frac{\colorbox{pi} {power}}{\colorbox{lightn} {voltage}} = \frac{200W}{240V} = 0.83A

Energy used by the fan in 3 hours = power × time

 ⇒1.2kW \times 3h = 1.2 \times \frac{1000J}{s} \times 3 \times 60 \times 60s = 1200 \times 3 \times 3600J

 = 12960000J = 1.3 \times {10}^{7} J

 ⇒\colorbox{ligen} {Current, I = } \frac{P}{V} = \frac{60}{240} = 0.25A

\colorbox{ln} {Residence = } \frac{V}{I} = \frac{240}{0.25} = 960Ω
