Explanation :-

We have :-

→ Radius of the wire = 0.01 cm = 10 m

→ Resistance = 10 Ω

→ Resistivity = 50 × 10 Ωm

Firstly, let's calculate the area of cross section of the wire.

⇒ A = πr²

⇒ A = 3.14 × 10⁻⁴ × 10⁻⁴

⇒ A = 3.14 × 10⁻⁸ m²

Now, we know that :-

R = ρl/A

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ 10 = [50 × 10⁻⁸ × l]/[3.14 × 10⁻⁸]

⇒ 10 = 50/3.14 × l

⇒ 10 = 15.92l

⇒ l = 10/15.92

l = 0.628 m
