Assignment 1st
1. Hypermetropia is the defect of vision in which human eye can see distant objects clearly but cannot see the near objects clearly. ... In Presbyopia the person can not see the distant as well as nearby objects.
2. Cause of hypermetropia: This defect arises due to either of the following two reasons: (i) The eyeball becomes too small along its axis so that the distance between the eyelens and the retina is reduced. (ii) The focal length of the eyelens becomes too large resulting in the low converging power of the eyelens.
3. To correct the myopic defect of vision, we require a lens that can diverge the incoming rays. Out of both the lenses, the concave lens has the ability to diverge incoming rays. Therefore, it is used to correct this defect of vision. The image is allowed to form at the retina by using a concave lens of suitable power.
4. Presbyopia is the gradual loss of your eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects. It's a natural, often annoying part of aging. Presbyopia usually becomes noticeable in your early to mid-40s and continues to worsen until around age 65.
Assignment 2nd
1. violet colour
2.Answer. The band of colour formed when white light passes through the prism is known as the spectrum. We can recombine the components of white light by placing an identical inverted prism with parallel to the side from where the components of colour are emerging out as shown in the figure.
3.
4. At surface AB, the light ray enters and bends towards the normal on refraction. At surface AC, the light ray bends away from the normal as it travels from one medium (glass) to the other (air). The angle of deviation is observed. Here, the emergent ray bends at an angle towards the direction of the incident ray.
