Hey mate!

Here's your answer!!

8) Let the whole no. be = x

5x = 2x² - 3

Now the. equation becomes,
2x² - 5x - 3 = 0
2x² - 6x + x -3=0
2x (x - 3) + 1(x - 3)=0
(2x + 1) (x -3) =0
2x + 1=0, x - 3=0
2x = -1, x = 3
x = - 1/2
Now, we reject the x = - 1/2

Because it is not a whole no.
Therefore, we get x = 3
Therefore. the whole no. is 3.
-----------------------------------

9) Since the middle number of the three consecutive numbers is x, the other two numbers are x -1 and x +1.

According to the given condition, we have

➡ x² = [(x +1)² -(x -1)²] +60

=> x² = (x² +2x +1) -(x² -2x +1) +60 = 4x +60

=> x² -4x -60 = 0 => (x -10)(x +6) = 0

=> x = 10 or -6

Since x is a natural number, we get x = 10
Hence the three numbers are 9, 10, 11.

hope \: it \: helps \: you.✌ ✌ ✌

1. let whole number be x
     so according o the given statement
      we get 5x=3-2x^2
on solving 2x^2+5x-3=0
we get x=1/2 , -3
since the question is asked for whole num so the answer is 1/2=0.5

2. let the 3 consecutive numbers be x,x+1,x+2
according to the statement
(x+1)^2- (x+2-x)^2 = 60
(x+1)^2 -(2)^2=60
(x+1)^2 - 4 =60
(x+1)^2=64
on square rooting on both sides we get
x+1=8
x=7
so the 3 consecutive numbers x,x+1,x+2 are 7, 8, 9
