(1) ∠PTS should be greater than ∠PST   as side PS is greater than PT

(2) as one of the angle ∠TPS is 90° and other two sides are not equal

   therefore on of the angle should be more than 45° and other be less than          45°

(3)so the angles  could be ∠PTS =any angle more than 45°

                              whereas ∠PST =any angle less than 45°

so his estimation of ∠PTS = 50° may be correct or may not be

but as we take the ratio  of side  PS/PT by using coordinate axis

we get tan θ = 10/7 = 1.21

for tan θ = 1.21

here θ = approximately  50°
