Answer :

\fbox\purple{x\:=\:50°}

\fbox\purple{y \:=\:80°}

Solution :–

We know that vertically opposite angles have the same value

So,

Value of y = 80°

____________________

Finding value of x:

\angle A \:+\: \angle B \:+\:\angle C\: = \:180°

( Angle sum property)

.

50° + x + y = 180°

50° + x + 80° = 180°

x + 130° = 180°

x = 180° 130°

x = 50°

Checking :

LHS :

50° + x + y

= 50° + 50° + 80°

= 180°

LHS = RHS = 180°

Hence, Check

.

\fbox\purple{Therefore \:the \:value\: of \:x\: =\: 50°\: and \:y\: =\: 80° }
