Ah mate u r confused in this wait I will tell u ⤵

RULE ⤵

IN ANY RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE THE LENGTH OF HYPOTENUSE ( SIDE OPPOSITE TO 90°) = WHOLE ROOT OF LEG 1^2 + LEG 2^2 OR THE SQUARE OF HYPOTENUSE IS EQUAL TO SQUARE OF LEG 1 & LEG 2 .

EXAMPLE ⤵

CONSIDER A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE AOB WHERE ANGLE 0 = 90° AND SIDE AB IS OPPOSITE TO ANGLE O SO

 {(ab)}^{2}  =  {(oa)}^{2}  +  {(ob)}^{2}

So according to question ⤵

Hypotenuse = 5cm

LEG 1 = 4cm

LEG 2 = ???? so

  =  =  > {5}^{2}  =  {4}^{2}  +  {x}^{2}  \\  =  =  > 25 = 16 +  {x}^{2}  \\  =  =  > 25 - 16 =  {x}^{2}  \\  =  =  > 9 =  {x}^{2}  \\  =  =  > 3 = x

SO LEG 2 = 3cm

HOPE IT HELPS ☺♥️
