Answer: 75/32

Explanation:

Given:

☛ Ratio of zeroes of the quadratic equation ( 2x² + 5x + m = 0 ) = 3 : 1

To Find:

☛ Value of m

Solution:

Given that,

Ratio = 3 : 1

Let the zeroes be 3x and x respectively.

Now,

➜ Sum of Zeroes = -(coefficient of x) / (coefficient of x²)

☛ 3x + x = - 5/2

☛ 4x = -5/2

☛ x = -5/8 ...(1)

Similarly,

➜ Product of zeroes = (constant term) / (coefficient of x²)

☛ 3x × x = m/2

☛ 3x² = m/2

☛ 3 * 25 / 64 = m/2

☛ m = 75/32

Hence, Value of m is 75/32
