So in this question:

if a,b,c,p are rational numbers and p is not a perfect cube and a + bp^1/3 + cp^2/3 = 0 then prove that a=b=c=0

the first step is to multiply by p^1/3 and the second step is to multiply the first and second equations by 'b' and 'c' respectively. How would you come up with multiplying 'p^1/3' and 'b' and 'c' to solve the question?
