Answer : 1.8 MeV ✔️

Solution :

Given that :

Rest mass energy of Electron = 0.51 MeV, and

Total Kinetic Energy of Electron positron pair = 0.78 MeV

To find :

Energy of gama (y) rays photon

As we know that :

Energy of gama (y) rays photon = 2 × Rest mass energy + Kinetic Energy

=> Energy of gama rays = 2 × ( 0.51 ) + 0.78 = 1.8

So, the energy of gama (y) rays photon will be 1.8 MeV

I hope it will be helpful for you ☺️
