The coils A and B are wrapped around a non conducting cylinder coil A connected to a battery and a key and coil B with the galvanometer.
A) when will the galvanometer show deflection.

when there is a change in the magnetic field around a conductor, it produces magnetic flux , then there will be a deflection in the galvanometer in the other conductor.
this phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction.
when the plug key is pressed then the current flows from coil which produces a magnetic field around it and coil B which is associated with it , experiences induction of current in it.
