Help Victoria calculate the time she rested (don't forget to write the units). At first she moves 10 meters in 3 seconds, rests 5 seconds. After that, she jumps for 25 meters in 30 seconds and then rests 12 seconds, finally she makes a giant step (1 m) in 2 seconds.

Answer:

Given:

The initial speed of the particle is u=10m/s

The time after which the velocity changes is t=3 s

The final velocity of the particle is v=16 m/s

The acceleration of the particle can be obtained as:

a=

t

v−u

Substituting the values in above equation

a=

3

16−10

=2 m/s

2

Now velocity at 2 s, before the given instant. In this case, the initial velocity will become the final velocity after 2 seconds from the instant.

v=u+at

10=u+2×2

∴u=6m/s
