The answer of your question is:

first, let the required number be a variable say X

So,

we can make a two equations from the question.

the first requirement : we multiply the number by 5 and subtract 4

the first equation: 5X-4= Y

I referred to the result of the equation as Y

the second requirement: we add 3 to the number and then double the result

the second equation: (3+X)*2=Y

6+2X=Y

the same result of the first equation, Y

Then, we solve the two equations for X either by substitution or omitting

I have chosen omitting to solve the problem.

5X-4=Y (1)

2X+6=Y (2)

by subtracting (2) from (1) we get the following:

3X-10=0 so,

3X=10 then,

X= 10/3

the number which satisfy the two equations is 10/3 = X

we can check by solving the two equations for 10/3 and it will have the same result

I hope this answered your question.

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number be x

x-4/5= 5x-4/5

5x-4/5×5=4x

5x-4=4x

x=4

ex..

let the number be 4

20-4=4(4)

16 = 16

hence the answer is 4
