EXPLANATION:
Rina was the last girl of Grade Five. However much she tried she could not score good marks. Rina came from a very poor family. Her father was a manual labour and her mother was a helping hand, but both dreamt big for their only daughter. The Government too aided them by the scheme ‘Beti parao beti bachao’. But here was Rina stuck in her studies.
Rina however was a very persevering child. She wasn’t ready to give up. She decided to seek help. She went with her mother to one of the houses her mother worked for. The lady of the house was a school teacher. Rina requested her to assist her. Being a teacher the lady was overjoyed at the child’s eagerness. Every day after school Rina would come to the lady to study. She sacrificed her play time and skipped her afternoon meal.
Her continued effort was finally crowned with success. She came out with flying colours in her exam proving that hard work always pays.
