I support the position of Sangeetha: The policy of accommodation has strengthened national unity

Explanation:

  • In the absence of the accommodation policy and of the establishment of states on a linguistic basis, further division of India would have occurred. For example, if the South were to break away from the North, the Hindi language would be introduced, and the Tamil Nadu would be an independent country.
  • The Indian Govt was willing to continue using English together with Hindi for official purpose to prevent linguistic supremacy of any specific language. Otherwise, the movement against Hindi would have been a bigger issue.
  • In our country, all the major languages spoken in various parts of our country have equal status. This accommodation strategy not only addressed disputes between parties, but also encouraged management. Thanks to this accommodation scheme, citizens who speak different languages there is a larger participation in the government's activities
