Given : a graph of 3x-y=2 for values. of x from 0 to 2

To Find : an approximate solution to the simultaneous equations 3x-y=2 and 2x+y=4

Solution:

3x-y=2

2x+y=4

Adding both

5x = 6

=> x = 1.2

x = 1.2 is between  0  to 2

2x+y=4

=> 2(1.2) + y = 4

=> 2.4 + y = 4

=> y = 1.6

(1.2 . 1.6 ) is the solution
