Animals Poem Summary:

In the poem animals, the poet has described his will to become an animal because he thinks animals are far better than human beings. Human beings are greedy and full of jealousy against each other. But animals are calm and self contained.

The animals are happy with what they have. They never complain about miseries and sorrows. On the other hand human beings complain about their miseries. They give more importance to the rich and strong people, stay restless because of their wrong doings and run behind the luxurious things of this world.

Whereas animals are honest about their relations and don’t give importance to a particular class. They live a life which is full of honesty and less of greed and jealousy.

Answer:

The poet says that it's easier to live with animals than with humans since they are calm and quiet and self contained and he could look at them and never get bored of their antics.

Animals also don't complain about everything such as their living habits or the food they eat or where they live, unlike humans. They also don't endorse in the matter of religion. They are all satisfied and happy with what they have and know.

Nobody in the animal kingdom is superior or inferior and hence, no room for corruption of power. They accept who they are and embrace their children, family, etc. They have very interesting personalities and are not cold and cruel like humans. The poet also thinks how these animals could've developed such personalities and wonders if he could do so too
