Answer:

Rs 5,306.4

Given

Potential difference ( v) = 220 volt

Current (i) = 10 ampere

Now,

P = V × I

P = 220 × 10

P = 2200 W

=> 2200/100 = 2.2 kW

Now,

Power = 2.2 kW

Time = 8 hours

Electric energy consumed in one day

E = P × T

E = 2.2 × 8

E = 17.6 kW

Electric energy consumed in 45 days

=> 17.6 × 45

=> 792 kWh

Given

Cost of 1 kWh electricity is Rs = 6.70

So, Cost of 792 units of Electricity =

Rs. 792 × 6.70

= Rs 5,306.4

SOLUTION

Energy consumed by the heater is

E= Vlt

=) 220× 10× 8× 45 = 792× 10^3Wh

=) 792 kWh

Now, one unit is 1 kWh

so, total energy consumed in a 45 days is

=) E= 792 units

Therefore, total cost is

=) cost = 792× 6.70

=) 5306.4 Rs.

hope it helps ☺️
