Explanation:

when a impulse reaches the pre synaptic(the neural end) knob, the vesicles containing some neurotransmitters (chemical substances) present inside the pre synaptic knob start moving towards towards the synaptic membrane .Ultimately the vesicles get fused with the membrane and emit the chemicals content in the synaptic cleft. This chemicals get absorbed by the receptors present on the post synaptic knob(another neural end) . This is how impulse is transmitted from one neuron end to another.
