Answer:

CuSO4 -----> Cu2+ +SO42-

H2O ----> H + OH

At cathode

Cu2+(aq) + 2e– ==> Cu(s)  

At anode

Cu(s) – 2e– ==> Cu2+(aq)

Explanation:

As copper is an active electrode, copper participates in the electrolytic reeaction  and the  other ions are collected as anode mud.

At cathode,  copper deposit on the cathode, reduction of copper ions oocurs by gain of 2 electrons .

At anode, copper dissolves from the anode, oxidation  of copper occurs by loss of  2 electrons .
