now lets take a small part of length "dx" which is at distance"x" from the hinge point
the speed of the point is given by
now the motional emf in that small part of the rod will be

The rod is supposed to be the combination of a number of infinitesimal elements. Speed of each element is different. Consider an element at a distance l from O. Speed of this element is ωl, and is perpendicular to its length.
