Hello Friend,

We can calculate it by Pythagoras theorem,

Let the half side be 'y'

 {15}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  \\  {y}^{2}  =  {15}^{2}  -  {12}^{2}  \\  {y}^{2}  = 225 - 144 \\   {y}^{2}   = 81 \\ y = 9

Therefore, the whole side =

x = 2 \times y \\ x = 2 \times 9 \\ x = 18

x= 18
