A rod can be balanced only on its centre of mass which is at the middle point of a uniform rod and that's where all mass of a rod shows up.

But here due to extra weight COM shifts toward the load and you can see it practically too

Now you have to find new COM of the system from where it would balance horizontally

Now use the formula of COM and that's your answer
