We are provided with :-
f(x) = 3x⁴ - 9x³ + x² + 15x + k
g(x) = 3x² - 5
Now we will divide f(x) by g(x) by using long division method.
3x² - 5 ) 3x⁴ - 9x³ + x² + 15x + k ( x² - 3x
3x⁴ - 5x²

0 - 9x³ + 6x²
- 9x³ + 15x
____________
6x² + k
Now to make it divisible by 3x² - 5x we have to change it in the form of n(3x² - 5)
Now
6x² + k = n(3x² - 5)
Now when n = 2
6x² + k = 2(3x² - 5)
6x² + k = 6x² - 10
k = -10
