hetan had some money in his pockect.he spent 60% of it in buying groceries. if the remaining amount with him was ₹240, then how much did he have in the beginning?

So now Hetan have 40% of the original money (x).

which is 0.40x.

Given that now he has 240 rupee.

So that means both are equal and give equation

0.40x=240

x=240/0.40

x=600

Hence the final answer is 600 rupees.
