Heterotrophic (parasitic) plants occupy which tropic level in food chain ? why?

heterotrophic of parasitic plant as discussed in you question contain III which is the secondary consumers in food chain because there after the animals the animals can eat this parasitic plants such as big animals like elephants and many more that I have found in Australia and South America but this plant can use only small animals and at a small amount. thanks
