hexene and hexane are hydrocarbons with similar properties how do you distinguish between them on testing them with bromine water

Hexene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon whereas hexane is a saturated one. Bromine water reacts with hexene to produce vicinal dihalide whereas hexane doesn't undergoes any reaction with bromine water.
