The three parts are:-

1. Cornea - most of the light rays enter the eye through the thin membrane called cornea. Most of the refractions of light rays takes place here.

2. The pupil - the pupil controls the amount of light entering the eye with the help of Iris muscles. The pupil contracts in bright light and expands in dim light.

3. The Iris - this muscular diaphragm controls the amount of light entering the eye by controlling the size of the pupil.
