Hey!!!

50 points......

state which of the following situations are possible and give an example of each:

a) A body moving with constant acceleration but with zero velocity.

b) A body moving horizontally with acceleration in vertical direction.

c) A body moving with a constant speed in an accelerated motion.

Remember to explain it with an example........

best answer will be marked as brainlist.

(a) this is impossible .

because if a body is moving it need to have some velocity as nothing could move with zedo velocity except expanding universe .

(b)yes it is possible .

when a child pulls a toy car attached to rope , he lifts the rope above the ground and pull it making x-compontent of acceleration in vertical direction which is balanced by weight of car hence the car doesnt gain any velocity in vertical direction .and the y-component of acceleration is in horizontal direction which is opposed by friction but still friction is very low so the toy car moves in horizontal direction .

(c) it is also not possible .

because if a body is moving with constant velocity then (v-u)final velocity - initial velocity is zero . hence acceleration needs to be zero because of laws of motion ...

HOPE IT HELPS

Only situation (b) is possible .

When a child pulls a car he makes an angle of 60° but it moves horizontally
